Muslim faithful in Wum have ended fasting with a call for peace and social cohesion so as to foster development in Wum and Menchum. The call came after praying for peace and development and for normalcy to return to Wum, Menchum Division and to the North West and south West Regions in particular, and the entire nation as whole. The Ramadan prayer was led by Sheikh Adamu Isiaku, Imam of the Wum Central Mosque. Speaking shortly after the prayer, the Senior Divisional Officer for Menchum Division, Abdoullahi Aliou, told OJ SLIM MEDIA that during this period of festivities, Muslim faithful are challenged to reflect on the plight of their brothers and sisters whose lives have been wrecked by oppression and violence.
