PC NAIKOM SENDS FORTH REV. NCHOTU MOSES SHU.

Christians of PC Naikom in Menchum Presbytery, have sent forth their Spiritual Shepherd, who doubles as Presbyterial Secretary, Rev. Nchotu Moses Shu, who was transferred to Bui Presbytery, in same capacity. In a Spirit filled Sermon, the Servant of God called on God's children to be steadfast in their transformation, and continue to seek God's face, despite the numerous challenges the are confronted to. Reading from 1John 1:5-2-6, the Man of God called on them to draw closer to God more than ever before.

In strict respect of measures put in place to combat the corona virus, COVID-19, the marmot crowd that usually characterise such occasionally was conspicuously absent.

The Congregational Chairperson of PC Naikom, Elder Tegha Raphael, while wishing farewell to the Man of God, enumerated the giant projects executed during his five years Spiritual Leadership. These projects included inter alia;
  • Provision of window protector for the security of the church building,
  • Changing of the delapidated roof of the church house,
  • Beautification of the Sanctuary
  • Construction of a befitting ceiling for the church house,
  • Provision of lighting system for the church,
  • Initiated the protection of church land by fencing the PHS campus and building of a gate at the entrance of the Presbytery seat.
  • Provision of tiles for the vestry and planting of 1000 trees.
To these material realisations, one can add the Spiritual impact the preachings of Rev. Nchotu Moses has had on the christians as many were led to God, while others simply leaned how to give to God.

To many christians, the spirit of giving they now have, was instilled in them by Rev. Nchotu Moses Shu. Many had never known that one could give money for the work of God to advance.

Rev. Nchotu Moses Shu called on all Christians of PC Naikom to show the same collaboration they showed him to him, to the new Parish Pastor, Rev. ... who also doubles as  Presbytery Secretary.

Amongst  the numerous gifts received, was the certificate of recognition, given by The Women of Faith Movement, an inter-denominational prayer group for peace in Menchum Division, for the outstanding Spiritual support of Rev. Nchotu Moses, to the success of this movement, to attend its objectives.

Traditional Leaders Urge Government to Address Drug Abuse in Ntarikon 2 Community

On November 20, 2024, community spokespeople from the Adjust for Me project engaged religious and traditional leaders in an open discussion during a door-to-door sensitization campaign in Ntarikon 2. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the growing concerns of drug abuse and gender-based violence (GBV) within the community. Through this dialogue, the project sought to educate both youths and religious leaders on the dangers of substance abuse and to address how gender-based violence can be reduced in both the church and local communities. Many religious leaders expressed that while some progress has been made, the increasing prevalence of drug abuse among young people remains a pressing concern. Peace journalists in Bamenda aquaint themselves with skills on humanitarian reporting and security/safety of journalists

This statement was  made by Fonyuy Kiven Frankline, the information officer at the United Nations for the coordination of humanitarian affairs, on December 27 2019 at Ntamulung church center hall as he trained peace journalists in Bamenda on humanitarian reporting and Security/safety of journalists. Organized by the Cameroon community media Network CCMN Northwest chapter, mr Funyuy Kiven trained the journalists present,  on the importance of always taking into consideration, your safety and security, before embarking on any mission.
