MIH BIBIANA MBEI EPOUSE DIGHAMBONG: A TASTE OF HOMELESSNESS.

Mayor Dighambong Anthony Mvo's home was swept away by flames on the night of October 16, 2022All that remains is ash at the home of the mayor of Wum, a town in Menchum Division of the North-West region of the Republic of Cameroon. On the night of October 16, the residence of Dighambong Anthony Mvo went up in smoke as only few people were present at the scene. The arson was carried out by unidentified gun men who are still on the run.

Few months after the charring of the mayor's residence, the wife came visiting and was shocked by what she saw and mustered courage as she felt the pinch of being not only homeless but being so in one's own community.

I came home to serve my community, but I am Homeless in my own community because of outright heartlessness, Human wickedness and cruelty. YES, I NOW KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO BE HOMELESS IN YOUR OWN LAND! YES, I HAVE TASTED OF THIS GROSS INHUMANITY! AND DRUNK FROM THE CUP OF BITTER TRAGEDY! YES, I HAVE FELT THE WEIGHT OF STRESS AND SHOCK OF HUMAN EVIL AND BEASTIALITY!

 I FORGIVE YOU ALL!!!

The first night is terrifying. The thought of sleeping out of your home isn't the same as going camping. It's not mainly a concern about weather, nor being vulnerable, but far more about human evil and bestiality.

It’s the psychological aspect that makes it impossible for you to understand what it is like to be homeless, unless you are actually homeless. Being homeless is more than just not having a home.

Imagine not knowing where you are going to sleep. It's like being a rat living on the fringes of society. You can't understand it until you've lived it.

She was made homeless. And I'll tell you this… It was one of the hardest things she has ever had to live through. I'll also tell you, that the experience of homelessness was also the qualifying factor that is shaping her life... For the better.

I have felt the wounds of what many in the war zones in the restive English regions of Cameroon are going through-Shattered faces reflecting shattered lives, Shadows of our former selves broken beyond words and inexplicable pains. Yes, we all shared in the evil and misery that has descended upon our land. On a daily basis we are being slaughtered and butchered like animals.

Our People have lost everything including faith and Hope and the desire to live.

My God! My heart is bleeding!  Many times, I feel like I have reached the limit of my pains and all oxygen sucked and drained out of me by what humans are doing to fellow humans with impunity. I feel my wounds forced open again and again by the onslaught of brutal reality.

THANK YOU, GOD, FOR THE COURAGE, RESILENCE AND THE SPIRIT TO FIGHT ON! WE MAY HAVE LOST EVERYTHING! IN YOU, LIFE STILL HOLDS PURPOSE.

Giving Hope to the young girls.
