"WE SHALL CLEAN 'AMBA' IN BAFUT"; GENERAL NKA VALERE.

By Thomas Mokum

The Commander of the 5th military Region, General Nka Valère, says they will clean Bafut of all separatist activities. He made the declaration in Bafut after visiting 300 soldiers who where  there for a special mission.

The soldiers headed by Colonel Matang Chil Alian were sent to Bafut on the night of Saturday the 21 of March breaking Sunday 22. For the 6 days in Bafut 15 separatist fighters were neutralised amongst them two dangerous "generals", general Alahji of zone 3 with head quarters at the Saddle Hill Resort a group that has been master minding kidnaps of the population in Bafut and Bamenda and even beyond, and general peace plant of zone 1.

Apart from neutralising the 15 separatist fighters, there was the seizure of arms, 6 motorbikes, 2 horses, a Toyota Fortuner Jeep , chain saw, etc

I bring to them congratulations from the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of defense and those of the Chief of armed forces. Bafut you know is a strong hold of Amba but we shall clean it and take it over from them and to let my boys know that we now have two enemies separatist fighters and covid 19 reason why I came with face mask so that no one should be affected by covid 19 on the line of duty. I will also put a military base at Saddle Hill Resort so an inventory of all what is there will be made. It will be a mixed team I don't want a pin to get missing, I don't want people to say when amba was there nothing got missing but the military has come and is stealing things" Nka Valere added

According to Colonel Matang Chil Alian 300 of us moved to Bafut and 300 of us came back alive but for one wounded soldier who's life is out of danger. I want to inform the population of Bafut that this is just the beginning we shall have many more operations in Bafut and I call on them to cooperate. To my brothers who have taken up arms against the state they should drop it or wait for us.

Because of social media reports that the bafut palace was burn by the military Nka Valere visited the palace where every thing is in order.

"Our youths are falling victim to drugs, and it's taking a toll on their health, well-being, and futures," one community leader remarked. The discussion linked the rise in drug abuse to the economic challenges and ongoing socio-political unrest that have left many youths ...
