2020/2021 SCHOOL YEAR; ALL READY TO FIGHT COVID-19 WHILE LEARNING.


The third term of the academic year 2020/2021, started last April 12, 2021 with many school administrations, taking firm resolutions and determination to complete the syllabus for the academic year while respecting barrier measures against COVID-19.

In many schools across Menchum Division, focus this term is ensuring that the students and pupils cover over 90% of their coursework especially as the academic year began late due to the COVID-19 pandemic.


At the Government Practising Nursery School Wum, the Headmistress explained that her pupils will have an extra hour for catch-up classes.

This is same for students in almost all secondary schools within the division, who already had extra classes during the Easter holidays.


As concerns fighting the COVID-19 on school campuses, school administrations are very careful.

A Head Teacher made us know that in his school, there are points for the washing of hands spread across the campus. He added that children are encouraged to usually put on their masks and use hand sanitisers.



A major innovation at this school is the stopping of playing outside during break. “The children eat in their classrooms so as to avoid them mixing up amongst themselves which could encourage the spread of COVID-19,”  the Head Teacher stated.

CAMASEJ NW TAKES STOCK OF 2019 .

       The last NW CAMASEJ  Chapter meeting for the year 2019 took place yesterday December 13th, at the conference Hall of one of Bamenda's most prestigious BLUE PEARL HOTEL, thanks to those designated host for the month of December. Chaired by it's charismatic president Ambe Macmillan AWA, the meeting paved the way for the Exco that's been in office for just one year, to present a balance sheet of it's ACHIEVEMENTS  and  CHALLENGES  in tandem with it's vision and objectives of the year, followed by a financial statement of account alongside projects/prospects the chapter interns to execute in line with the vision of the newly elected national Bereau in 2020. CAMAIR-CO PLANE FIRED AT BY NON-STATE ARMED GROUPS.

Southern Cameroonian fighters have fired at a Camairco plane in Bamenda, as the airliner was about to land at the Bamenda airport. The airliner, which has been grounded in Bamenda, took some bullets and will not be flying for sometime. The incident that occurred today December 1st 2109 is a clear indication that the Southern Cameroons crisis is far from over despite the optimism generated by the Major National Dialogue held in Yaounde in October 2019. Camairco is now among other state corporations which have been affected by the crisis. PAMOL, CDC, and SONARA have been hit hard by the crisis and this is a severe blow to the cash-strapped Yaounde government that is still hoping that time will help solve a problem that has become a millstone around its neck.
