The Senior Divisional Officer of Menchum Division, Abdoullahi Aliou, has officially launched the 5th Covid-19 immunization campaign in Menchum Division, with a call to intensify the fight against Covid-19 pandemic. He noted with dissatisfaction the plethora of misinformation misleading the population and preventing them from receiving the Covid-19 vaccine. Abdoullahi Aliou was speaking during the launching of the immunization campaign against COVID-19. The launching event took place Thursday November 17 at the conference hall of the SDO's office and served as a platform for the Civil Administrator to amplify the call for the fight against misinformation that has greatly jeopardized vaccination measures against the pandemic. I heard about 'locks for luck' years ago when i was working on story on how traditional doctors treat mental health diseases. I visited the shrine of one of the doctors in Tubah sub division. There was a long queue of patients waiting to see the “doctor” for different conditions.Among them were women 'searching for the fruit of the womb', typhoid patients waiting with empty gallons in which they would buy their concoctions, people seeking luck in love waiting with their locks in hand. A small store at the entrance of doctor’s compound, rented kitchen stools. The queue was often long so patients rented chairs to sit on while waiting.The store also sold empty water bottles and of course locks! I was told that , the tradi 'doctor' blessed the locks and made incantations aligned to the desire of the client. In an age where the electronic media has drawn us closer together into what is called a global village, or a global society, its benefits will only be felt when mutual goodness prevails, when mutual respect and understanding prevail. If, instead of good feelings, hatred emerges, if restlessness usurps heartfelt peace, then we must accept that this is not progress, but is something that will take us towards unexpected results. In this globalisation, where people of different backgrounds, cultures and religions are living together, and where the world has become multicultural and full of diversity, establishing tolerance and harmony has become very crucial and important, and fostering mutual love and affection has become vital. Without tolerance and harmony the lasting peace of societies cannot be maintained, and loyalty for each other cannot be established. Loyalty is borne from feelings of love and affection. At a personal level the feelings of love strengthens the feelings of loyalty.

As the various 'Ambazonian Interim Governments' continue to fight each other over who is legitimate enough be invited to the Canadian round of talks ; and, as they dévelop one sophisticated argument over another on Canada's neutrality in facilitating the talks that could go a long way to end the deadly Anglophone conflict, we @TheColbertFactor prefer to proffer suggestions to those who have the power to influence government of Cameroon delegation to the Canadian conference. Tolerance is an important concept that helps people to live together peacefully. To be tolerant means that you accept other people’s opinions and preferences, even when they live in a way that you don’t agree with. Tolerance also means that you don’t put your opinions above those of others, even when you are sure that you are right. Tolerant people show strength in that they can deal with different opinions and perspectives. Tolerance makes it possible for people to coexist peacefully. It is the basis for a fair society in which everyone can lead their lives as they wish. Tolerance doesn’t just make peaceful coexistence possible, another advantage is that being open to other ways of thinking can help with personal development. When you know more about different thinking and ideas from around the world, it will help you to understand the world better. Teaching children about tolerance is the best gift that you can give them. Children shouldn’t grow up with feelings of hate and suspicion

Since time immemorial, society has attributed to the teacher the principal role of grading pupils and students' scripts, besides their traditional duties of spending long hours every week preparing lessen notes and attending refresher conferences to better the teaching/ learning process. Anyone who has experienced violence either in the form of abuse, domestic violence, crime or terrorism is faced with the same questions and choices. Does your life matter and if so to who? Is it your life worth preserving?   How will you do that? Through reciprocating in kind and choosing violence as your change agent or through peaceful, non-violent means.   In the heat of the moment, when the intrinsic will to live flares up to ensure your survival, these micro moments of panicking thoughts flash through your  head amid a flood of negative emotions, fear, anger and other negative feelings.  They all clamour for attention and drive you into fight or flight reactions. And the logical choice at the time for most of us, is survival, fight and win or run and hide.  Which most of us do. These are perfectly understandable and natural  reactions and  have assured the perpetuation of the human race since time began. But there is a third option which involves neither fighting nor running.  And
