The Community Impact for Africa-CIfA, has celebrated its first anniversary since its creation. The celebration took the form of sharing with ten vulnerable IDPs families. For the past 360 days, CIfA has proven to the world that it is un petit bebe aux dents de loups. A little baby with giant strides so to say.
Outreaches to elderly persons, radio campaigns, and online presence through the social media, all these activities attracted the focus lens of many media houses and other organizations to recognize the little but mighty and exquisite contributions of CIfA to the well-being of mankind.
That's the obvious reason why Gods Own Country Award (GOCO Award), could not pass by without eyeing the good job done and thus encouraged CIfA with an Award.
The Community Impact for Africa-CIfA in just one year, has been able to contribute in the creation of a safe space for socially vulnerable persons for sustainable health care, development and livelihood in Bamenda, and for all africans. It is undoubtedly true that CIfA has innovated in the area of health care for the socially vulnerable persons, especially in the face of COVID-19 as they offered an adaptive hand washing tool to the Bamenda main market on June 16 for the use of shop owners and customers with disability. They have also empowered many women and youths in the production of self sustainable ventures and the production of quality hand sanitizers and detergents (La Croix) to combat COVID-19. All these have greatly impacted the lives of more than 253 persons. For one year therefore, they have stood for Innovation-Empowerment-Impact.

*An Address Presented by the CEO of Community Impact for Africa- CIfA on the Occasion of the First Anniversary Celebration of CIfA Today 26th July 2020.*
A look at this past one year, only made me come to a deeper realization that it's has been about God and God has been with us thus far. To you alone be all the glory and praises Father.
Sr. Winston Churchill said "you make a living by what you get, you make a life by what you give". CIfA is proud to have given time, purpose, direction, guidance, hope, focus, financial and material resources to ensure that our communities are better. We are the change we want.
Ever since it's inception last July, CIfA has impacted over 253 lives directly, and over 10,000 persons through various sensitization campaigns through her various social media platforms and radio programs.
Some activities realized last year include:
- 11 outreach activities to the homes of some socially Vulnerable Persons such as the elderly and Persons with Disability;
- 05 radio sensitization campaigns on various themes;
- over 15 social media sensitization campaigns;
- CIfA has celebrated 11 international days such as international day of peace, of Persons with Disability, of the elderly. Just to name but these.
- CIfA is also a proud recipient of the Gods Own Country Award(GOCO Award) and hopes to keep striking this new year.
Our celebration is not so much a festivity but a reflective occasion to pause, and look back at this year's journey. And a moment to look ahead to the mountains yet to climb.
So today we pay homage to three groups of people;
First to God Almighty for starting with us and bringing us thus far;
Secondly, to the founding members of CIfA: Ngwanwi Lidwina Munting, Nemkul Farda Frieda, Ngala Nadine and Nfor Beroit.
Though we started 4 in number, Community Impact for Africa now has a membership body of 15 including volunteers.
Finally a big thank you to all who believed in our vision and supported us technically. Special appreciation goes to Hope for the Needy Association (HOFNA), Beacon of light Association (BeLa), Mandela Voluntary Foundation(MANVOFCAM) and United Youths Organization and most especially those who financially supported different activities organized by CIfA. We acknowledge your enormous sacrifices, you all contributed in diverse ways for today's successes . Thank you all. It was a modest but very important beginning and nothing would have been possible without you.
Our 5 years strategic plan provides a sound platform to continuously create safe spaces for all and for bridging the Gap between all ages.
Our circle of friends continue to grow with 511 followers on our Facebook page and we hope our website http://ci4a.org/ receives this same love and much more.
I end with the words of Lynn Whitfield " Today is ours, let's live it. Love is strong, let's give it. A song can help, let's sing it. Peace is dear, let's bring it. The past is gone, don't rue it. Our work is here, let's do it. The world is wrong, let's right it. The battle is hard, let's fight it.
