COVID-19; NW S.G RECEIVES PRESIDENTIAL GIFTS.

A consignment of 1870 cubes of savon, 30litters of 1020 containers of hand sanitizers, 6800 buckets and 34000 face masks have arrived the NWR. The Secretary General at the NW Governor's Office: Viang Mekala received the consignment on behalf of the Governor, dispatched from the Ministry of Territory Administration- MINAT.

The items that will be distributed from Thursday April 30 2020 to all 34 Subdivisions of the 7 Divisions in the North West Region, is part of the 2 billion CFAF donated by the President of the Republic: Paul Biya for the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

It is expected that the items will enable the population of the region to effectively implement the hygienic preventive measures put in place by the Government and the WHO to curb the spread of the dreaded disease.

The North West region has thus far recorded five confirmed cases of Covid-19 and the reception of the Presidential grant comes few days after the region also benefited from the setting up of a Confirmatory laboratory to conduct coronavirus tests authorized to eight of the ten regions in the country.

PCC OFFERS INNER PEACE TO IDPS THROUGH PSYCHO-SOCIAL SUPPORT

The Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, through its Peace Office component of radio for IDPs project, has offered psycho-social support, counselling, food stuff, mattresses and financial assistance to over 75 Internally Displaced Persons. It was also an opportunity for these IDPs to tell their stories, as a way of relief. These gifts fall within the framework of the, PCC peace radio and IDPs project that seeks to provide wholistic healing, to IDPs after going through trauma as a result of the ongoing armed conflict rocking the two English speaking regions of Cameroon. CAMASEJ NW TAKES STOCK OF 2019 .

The last NW CAMASEJ Chapter meeting for the year 2019 took place yesterday December 13th, at the conference Hall of one of Bamenda's most prestigious BLUE PEARL HOTEL, thanks to those designated host for the month of December. Chaired by it's charismatic president Ambe Macmillan AWA, the meeting paved the way for the Exco that's been in office for just one year, to present a balance sheet of it's ACHIEVEMENTS and CHALLENGES in tandem with it's vision and objectives of the year, followed by a financial statement of account alongside projects/prospects the chapter interns to execute in line with the vision of the newly elected national Bereau in 2020.
