Cameroon League One: Big match preview, PWD Vs YOSA; A must watch.

By Nji Nelson Chefor,
Sports Writer, kick442.com Cameroon.

The population of the Northwest regional chief town, Bamenda will this Wednesday November 06th 2019 watch the first ever top tier clash between PWD of Bamenda and Yong Sports Academy of the same town.

Since gaining promotion into league one, the anxiety from the football loving crowd of the region is to see both teams come face to face to each other in a competitive encounter and this Wednesday will be the day.

PWD of Bamenda will host Yong Sports Academy in YOSA’s own training centre.
The Abakwa Boys are coming into the match with just two matches played so far this season. In their first outing in Yaounde against the legendary Canon of Yaounde, a Nchindo John Bosco’s brace gave them all three points igniting hopes amongst the supporters of “Ngia P”.

Their hopes were compounded during their second outing on match day 4, the first in Bamenda this season as they were beaten by visiting UMS of Loum who walked away with a one nil victory.
A PWD team that received much criticisms from it’s supporters who were visibly not satisfied with the performance of their team.
Coach David Pagou therefore has a daunting task ahead of him this Wednesday. Players will also need to be at the top of their game too.
Their top scorer so far this season, Nchindo John Bosco and the likes of John Paul Nzogang, Ade Mienolf, Boung Joel Ondoua will all need to be at the top of their game to stop the high flying YOSA team that is just coming out of a comfortable two nil victory against Feutcheu FC on match day 4.
Coach Pagou and his entire technical staff watched that encounter as he told kick442.com that he will have a better game plan against YOSA come Wednesday.
For Yong Sports Academy, they have been impressive at home winning all two home matches so far and loosing two away from home.
On match day 1, YOSA defeated Stade Renard of Melong 2#1 in Bamenda before traveling to Garoua where they received a 6#1 bashing from Coton Sport of Garoua on match day 2. Their heaviest defeat ever. On match day 3, they suffered a one nil defeat in the hands of Apejes of Mfou before defeating Feutcheu FC 2#0 on match day 4.
The yellow submarines or the academicians as they are fondly called have played four matches, won two, loosing two and scoring 5 goals and conceeding 8 goals.

Coach Nkabyo Martin and his technical staff that has former PWD coach Toguem Jean Baptiste will want to win again on Wednesday.
YOSA’s top scorer so far is Abanke Eric and Randy Ntume Kwalar who all have two goals to their credit.
PWD’s defensive compactment will have to watch out for Abanke Eric, Tegemo Emmanuel and Tongua Emmanuel Regis Armel who have been causing a lot of problems to defenders this season. They will also need to be on the alert for Randy Ntume Kwalar who is gradually installing himself as a specialist of long range shots.
PWD is coming into the match with 3 points and are classified 16th with two delayed matches while YOSA is classified 7th with 6 points.
THE TACTICIANS

David Pagou will be looking for his first home win with PWD in Bamenda, since he took over. The former Renaissance, Canon and Cosmos’ gaffer is noted for building his teams to be solid, with emphasis on the physical part of the game. But he will have to find a way to beat the experience of Nkabyo Martin, who has once coached the Abakwa boys, just like his deputy, Jean Baptiste Toguem.
Pagou is noted for his 3_5_2 formation, condensing play at the Midfield, and giving his team more pace when attacking from the flanks.
For Nkabyo Martin, his 4_4_2 formation especially in home games, has yielded dividends twice this season, and he might still stick to the system on Wednesday.
So all roads will therefore be leading to the Yong Sports Academy Stadium this Wednesday November 6th. Kick off time is 2:00pm.

LES BRASSERIES DU CAMEROUN: Poised to revamp dying North West Economy.

As the crisis persists in the Anglophone regions of Cameroon, economic sabotage has been part of the modus operandi of the Separatists. One of the companies that have suffered from such sabotage is the Brewery company, Les Brasseries Du Cameroun. However in it’s new program as announced by the company Earlier this year, it seeks to revamp it’s commercial Centre in Bamenda and the 4 Depots of Kumbo, Nkambe, Wum and Fundong. This with a workforce of 400 workers, over 200 in Bamenda and about 50 in each of the 4 Depots, with a majority of the workers hailing from the North West Region. It is calculated that, over 30 Suppliers, two of whom supply the majority of the drinks sold in the Bamenda Commercial Centre, about 3000 regular retailers and over 2000 in the informal sector will get employed. They will be able to develop their families and improve on their livelihood by educating their children, building decent homes, and investing in diverse fields,

NORTH WEST PUBLIC INDEPENDENT CONCILIATOR

The PIC while addressing local masses in Wum Council area, Mr. Tamfu Fai, appealed to the government to create divisional representations.   In the Anglo-Saxon tradition, it is customary to set up independent authorities responsible for settling disputes between users and regional and council administration. In line with this logic, Law No.2019/24 of 24 December 2019 to institute the General Code of Regional and Local Authorities provides for an independent authority called the Public Independent Conciliator (PIC) in the North-West and South-West Regions. The office holder is by no means a legal authority or a judge, as the competences and powers entrusted to him are not of a legal nature. The PIC is responsible, inter alia, for amicably settling disputes between users and the regional and council administration, defending and protecting rights and freedoms with regard to the relationship between citizens and the region or the councils thereof, conducting any investigation on the funct

FRENCH PRESIDENT, EMMANUEL MACRON, DISAVOWS DECENTRALIZATION AS SOLUTION TO ANGLOPHONE CONFLICT; OPTS FOR REGIONALISM.

Image an elephant walked into the room. It's definitely something you would notice. It's also something people would describe in many different ways. Some might see it as a monster or a threat, while others (like The Colbert Factor) might think it's the greatest thing ever. It would ultimately mean something different to everyone, and that would influence the way each person understood it. The visit of the French President was the elephant walking into the Cameroon room.   Emmanuel Macron and Paul Biya in Yaoundé. July 25-27 2022 Last week's visit by recently re-elected French President, Emmanuel Macron, was too substantial to ignore. To most ordinary Cameroonians, his remarks after the close to two hours high-level talks with long-serving President Paul Biya, were great. To others, (especially those in government), they were a threat to what government had given a pat on its back for a fast-track of the decentralization process with a Special Status for the North Wes
