NW ELITES CALLED TO USE SUBTLE LANGUAGE TO WOO FIGHTERS.

His Eminence Cardinal Christian Tumi, has called on all persons in the Northwest region who will be leading the Major National Dialogue caravan in all divisions and sub divisions, to base their various campaigns on a capital virtue called love. The call was made during the lunching of the major national dialogue caravan on Saturday 16 November 2019 at MINEPAT HALL in Bamenda. The meeting was chaired by His Eminence Cardinal Tumi who in his opening speech, made mention of the importance of preaching the message of love, living in peace in our society and equally respecting the rights of every citizen. The meeting was also attended by the governor of the Northwest region, Tchoffo Deben Adolph Lélé Lafrique and delegations from the different divisions and sub divisions in the Northwest region who in the days ahead, have been assigned to hold campaigns as a means of bringing to an end, the current socio political crisis in the Northwest region. These delegates as called out by prof. Cosmos Cheka, shall lead these campaigns which is part of restitutions from the Major National Dialogue that heald from September 30 to October 4 in Yaoundé.

Traditional Leaders Urge Government to Address Drug Abuse in Ntarikon 2 Community

On November 20, 2024, community spokespeople from the Adjust for Me project engaged religious and traditional leaders in an open discussion during a door-to-door sensitization campaign in Ntarikon 2. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the growing concerns of drug abuse and gender-based violence (GBV) within the community. Through this dialogue, the project sought to educate both youths and religious leaders on the dangers of substance abuse and to address how gender-based violence can be reduced in both the church and local communities. Many religious leaders expressed that while some progress has been made, the increasing prevalence of drug abuse among young people remains a pressing concern. Peace journalists in Bamenda aquaint themselves with skills on humanitarian reporting and security/safety of journalists

This statement was made by Fonyuy Kiven Frankline, the information officer at the United Nations for the coordination of humanitarian affairs, on December 27 2019 at Ntamulung church center hall as he trained peace journalists in Bamenda on humanitarian reporting and Security/safety of journalists. Organized by the Cameroon community media Network CCMN Northwest chapter, mr Funyuy Kiven trained the journalists present, on the importance of always taking into consideration, your safety and security, before embarking on any mission.
