NW Peace Caravan: Akwa Patrick Sets The Pace In Menchum Division

Peace has never been the absence of war but in a war or conflict situation peace will always provide room for people to reason. Talking to some persons from menchum division in the conflict stricken North West region of Cameroon, most shared the opinion that no country especially in Africa has ever resolve any internal conflict using guns and other weapons of war. It's their wish that, even if the peace caravan which constitutes the  peacebuilding mechanism of the state, coming weeks after the major national dialogue, does not resolve the crisis, it should at least appeal to the consciences of those antagonising any idea adopted towards a return to normalcy in the two restive regions of the country to understand that only in a calm and Serene atmosphere can we resolve this crisis.


After the regional launch Nov 18th by Christian Cardinal Tumi, head of the program in the North West, those delegated to the different divisions have begin work already.
In menchum division Akwa Patrick is head of the the peace mission in menchum division. Flanked by Hon. Wallang Richard, mayor Dighabong Anthony and other stakeholders of the administration, the delegation under heavy security successfully launched the peace process in Wum  Central division, where they met with some commuters in ikom, zongefu, aguli, waindo and wanagwen and shared the peace message with them. Strategies have also been put in place to ensure the other villages like Bafmen, Weh, Zhoa, Kumfutu, Kpep, Frubana, Lobo, Nkang, Befang, Okoromanjang, Benakuma, Baworo and others in Fungom, Furu awa and menchum valley sub divisions, receive the peace message in all tranquility.

CAMASEJ NW TAKES STOCK OF 2019 .

       The last NW CAMASEJ  Chapter meeting for the year 2019 took place yesterday December 13th, at the conference Hall of one of Bamenda's most prestigious BLUE PEARL HOTEL, thanks to those designated host for the month of December. CAMAIR-CO PLANE FIRED AT BY NON-STATE ARMED GROUPS.

Southern Cameroonian fighters have fired at a Camairco plane in Bamenda, as the airliner was about to land at the Bamenda airport. The airliner, which has been grounded in Bamenda, took some bullets and will not be flying for sometime. The incident that occurred today December 1st 2109 is a clear indication that the Southern Cameroons crisis is far from over despite the optimism generated by the Major National Dialogue held in Yaounde in October 2019. Camairco is now among other state corporations which have been affected by the crisis. PAMOL, CDC, and SONARA have been hit hard by the crisis and this is a severe blow to the cash-strapped Yaounde government that is still hoping that time will help solve a problem that has become a millstone around its neck.
