Même si au bout du compte ils ne sont pas qualifiés, les Lions Indomptables U17 sont tenus de faire bonne prestation face à la sélection espagnole afin d’éviter de quitter la compétition avec 0 point. En 2003, lors de leur première participation, les Lions U17 étaient sortis au premier tour avec 3 points issus de trois matches nuls (1-1 contre le brésil, 1-1 face au Yemen et 5-5 contre le Portugal).
