Governor of the North West region, Adolphe Lele Lafrique at the end of
the session told reporters that, “The Prime Minister has recalled to us
the instructions of the Head of State and instructed us how to go
about preparing for it when we go back to our various regions. So, I’m

Development Cooperation, CDC.
He said, “the South West region is a
very important economic region. We are open to the sea. We are a very
important tourist destination with the beaches and mountains but today
all those activities are down. We have been lucky to benefit from some
infrastructure like the Kumba – Mamfe road, the Mamfe – Ekok – Nigeria
road, the stadium amongst others but today we cannot benefit from that
infrastructure.”
The discussions was also an occasion to review the
security situation in the trouble regions especially the safety of
persons and property.
