Repentant Separatist General makes emotional plea for peace

“General Capture and Destroy” and four other separatists fighters have answered favorably to the Head of State’s olive branch of peace.
 The five men who travel to Yaounde this Wednesday, 2nd October 2019 were pressed to the press during a press briefing granted by the Spokesperson of the Major National Dialogue, Dr George Ewane.
He said the Prime Minister- Head of Government who is chairing the deliberations at the Major National Dialogue will decide whether the five new armed secessionists who have answered call for peace could join the discussions that are already at the level of close door plenary sessions.
The Repentant fighters include;
-General Capture and Destroy
-Commander Kusi
-Ezemo, the Custodian of their Shrine
-General No Mercy
-Commander Champion.
 The five separatists adds to the over 30 others who are in Yaounde.
In an emotion packed statement to the press, General Capture and Destroy said, “The suffering is too much and the torment is unbearable. Our brothers and sisters are suffering in Nigeria and we want them back”. He pleaded on the government to grant clemency to those abroad in fear and to seek lasting solutions to the crisis. “If we fail to put this thing to an end, we will all suffer, we will see how our children are killing themselves” he added. General Capture and Destroy, was in tears when saying “I’m pleading to the government and Cameroonians of goodwill to see how we can rebuild our nation” “I’m here to participate in the peaceful dialogue. I have been sent by my fellow generals to represent them on the peace talks”
In the meantime, deliberations continue in commissions to seek solutions to the problems in the North West and South West regions.

The Reign of Terror in Menchum: A Horrific Encounter on the Wum-Bamenda Route

                                            The reign of terror in Menchum once again manifested itself in horrific fashion on the Wum-Bamenda road on Wednesday 5 June 2024, turning an ordinary morning journey into a nightmare. Traditional Leaders Urge Government to Address Drug Abuse in Ntarikon 2 Community

On November 20, 2024, community spokespeople from the Adjust for Me project engaged religious and traditional leaders in an open discussion during a door-to-door sensitization campaign in Ntarikon 2. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the growing concerns of drug abuse and gender-based violence (GBV) within the community. Through this dialogue, the project sought to educate both youths and religious leaders on the dangers of substance abuse and to address how gender-based violence can be reduced in both the church and local communities. Many religious leaders expressed that while some progress has been made, the increasing prevalence of drug abuse among young people remains a pressing concern.
